What is a Board Room?

A board room is a space where the members of a group, usually those who are elected by shareholders to run a company, meet. It could also be a place where people meet to make important business decisions, like selecting a new CEO or the establishment of a branch. A boardroom can also refer to a virtual conference space, where groups meet online. Virtual meetings offer a variety of benefits, including enhanced governance, higher attendance, lower travel costs and increased diversity among board members.

The term boardroom is also used to describe a sports media outlet that was founded by NBA star Kevin Durant. The Boardroom network is a platform for conversations with athletes and celebrities about sports and culture. The network is associated with NBCSN and airs the original show The Boardroom With Durant and Rich Kleiman.

Often times when a candidate is removed from the show and is removed from the show, there is an emergency Boardroom meeting to discuss their actions. This typically happens when a contestant violates the rules or behaves in a manner that makes other candidates uncomfortable. In season 10, for example, an emergency Boardroom was called after candidate Anand sent a text message to his acquaintances asking them to pay for a pedicab which was in violation of the rules of the show.

The Boardroom is situated on a studio lot and large mirrors hang on the walls. The seats for candidates are situated on one side of the table, with the chairs for advisers on the other. The boss’s chair is larger than the rest, to further highlight his or her superior authority.
